Pediatric Immunology and Allergy

In the Department of Pediatric Immunology and Allergy, blood tests, skin tests and pulmonary function tests are performed for the diagnosis of all allergic diseases including allergic and non-allergic asthma, allergic colds, allergic eczema, urticaria, food allergies and drug allergies. All treatments, including allergy vaccine treatments, are provided.

Allergy is a hypersensitivity reaction to substances entering or contacting the body from the immune system. Allergens that are allergic reaction substances can contain dust mites, pollen, mould fungi, animal hair and epithelials, nutrients, medicines and insect poisons.

Allergic diseases that mostly affect the upper or lower respiratory tract, eye, skin and digestive system should be evaluated as a whole and treatment planning should be done in the long term. Allergic children should be evaluated, followed up and treated by a child allergy specialist.
