Near East University Hospital introduced TRNC’s health tourism potential and quality service understanding to Europe at the Scandinavian Health Tourism Summit in Helsinki


Near East University Hospital represented the TRNC at the 1st Scandinavian Health Tourism Summit held in Helsinki and introduced the health tourism potential of the country and the quality service concept it offers to Europe.

The 1st Scandinavian Health Tourism Summit, organized by KiwiMedi Events, brought together health professionals and health tourism agencies, as well as the world’s important institutions in the health sector. At the summit, where current issues guiding the sector and predictions about the future of the sector were shared, B2B (business-to-business) meetings were also held to improve cooperation opportunities between companies operating in the field of health tourism.

Near East University Hospital was represented at the 1st Scandinavian Health Tourism Summit by Quality Coordinator Burcu Süerdem, International Patient Office Specialist Damla Demirci İpar and Marketing Communication and Patient Admission Services Manager Feyza Akıner Bundak.

The summit brought together health professionals and institutions around the world; aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, bariatric surgery and oncology clinics, in vitro fertilization centers, elderly care centers and living centers, disabled and geriatric centers, physical therapy and rehabilitation centers, health tourism agencies and hotels participated.

At the summit organized with the aim of discussing current issues in the field of health tourism, sharing innovations in the sector and increasing international cooperation, Health tourism managers, travel agencies, government officials and industry leaders also came together and had the opportunity to evaluate the latest trends and cooperation opportunities in the sector.
