The Near East University Hospital General Surgery Department provides many services with its expert and experienced staff including general surgery procedures as well as intensive care, parenteral/enteral nutrition and surgical infection treatment and other areas.

Diseases Treated In Our Department
At Near East University Hospital, all the diseases are treated carefully in cooperation with our expert academic staff through methods that are tailored specifically to the patient’s needs.  These include thyroid gland diseases (goiter, hyperthyroid), breast cancer and benign mammary diseases, stomach cancer, various problems of the duodenum ulcer, small intestine surgical diseases, intestinal blockages, colon - rectum tumours and inflammatory diseases, anorectal diseases (tumours, haemorrhoid, anal fissures, fistulas), benign and malignant tumours of the liver, cysts, blockage yellowness, pancreas cyst and tumours, acute and chronic pancreatitis, surgical diseases of the spleen, stomach wall and groin hernia, post operation hernia, post operation hernia, and surgery region infections.

Disease Diagnosis And Treatment Methods
In General Surgery, consultation and physical examination with the patient, general laboratory inspections, radiologic examinations (x-ray, ultrasonography, CT, MR, angiography, cholangiography, endoscopy cholangiopancreatography) and percutaneous biopsy methods are all performed.

Near East University Hospital, when treating General Surgery diseases, along with classical surgical methods, Laparoscopy - Endoscopy surgical methods and other medical treatments are used.  Since General Surgery covers many fields, it works with a multidisciplinary approach.
