Patients with Heart Failure followed by Lifelong Free Health Checks


The Advanced Cardiac Failure Centre since its establishment in November 2017 In cooperation with the Near East University Hospital and Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital provide patients with free to follow up and treatments and hospitalization needs of patients are reduced.

The aim of the establishment of the Centre is to provide services related to cardiac health by specialist cardiology and cardiovascular surgeons in the cases of advanced cardiac failure and intervene at the time of illness to reduce the risks that are caused by advanced cardiac insufficiency and minimize the risk of life, and increase the quality of life of patients.


Over 100 Patients are Followed at the Advanced Heart Failure Center
At the Near East University Hospital Advanced Cardiac Failure Center, where patients with advanced heart failure can be examined for free, electrocardiography, chest film, large diameter blood tests and echocardiography examinations are carried out for each patient; cardiac pacemakers of patients are checked, new drug treatments are being implemented, water and salt restriction and weight training are provided. The Advanced Cardiac Failure Centre, which has reached over 100 patients since the day it was established, regularly conduct health checks on patients.

Near East University Hospital, Assistant Professor Dr. Hatice Kemal from Cardiology Department, said that heart failure is a progressive disease, so patients should be followed up regularly and treatment should be performed as recommended. In cases where follow-up and treatment are not carried out adequately, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hatice Kemal stated that the need for follow-up with a multidisciplinary approach by cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeon specialists is of great importance and this can be done at the Advanced Heart Failure Centre. Dr. Hatice Kemal also stated that the expenses of patients seeking medical help and assistance from the Advanced Heart Failure Centres at the Near East University Hospital and Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital will be met by the Foundation of Near East University.
