From now on, all cancer patients can receive medical oncology examination free of charge at the Near East University Hospital. All examination fees will be covered by the Near East University.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the Near East University, the examination fees at the Medical Oncology Policlinic of the Near East University Hospital, which is equipped with state-of-the-art novel technological devices required for early diagnosis and timely accurate treatment in safe and experienced hands, would be covered by the Near East University. The press release drew attention to the crucial role of early diagnosis in treatment of cancer of which incidence rate was increasing in our country. It was underlined that Near East University was committed to assume the leading role and provide the cancer patients with free examination at the Near East University Medical Oncology Policlinic.
Great support to cancer patients by covering their examination fees and chemotherapy expenses
Being committed to providing all possibilities for patients suffering from cancer, Near East University Hospital has concluded an agreement with TRNC Ministry of Health and the Aid Association for Cancer Patients recently. In terms of the concluded agreement, upon their wish and the approval of TRNC Ministry of Health, the oncology patients that reside in our country with a TRNC citizenship can receive their chemotherapy procedures at the Near East University and their medicines will be supplied by the Ministry of Health of TRNC. In order to provide financial convenience for cancer patients while fighting cancer of which treatment expenses might be very high, the Near East University Hospital has decided to offer free medical examination and chemotherapy services at the Medical Oncology Policlinic. Near East University Hospital offers free chemotherapy for cancer patients
Without considering whether the patient has been diagnosed with cancer by public or private health facilities, the cooperation protocol that signed between the Near East University Hospital and TRNC Ministry of Health enables all oncology patients to
receive treatment at the Near East University Hospital upon the approval of the Ministry of Health. Within the terms of the protocol, the patients can receive free chemotherapy at the Medical Oncology Policlinic of the Near East University Hospital provided that the General Drug Store of TRNC Ministry of Health supply their medicines that prescribed for their treatment procedures by oncologists working either at the NEU Hospital or at public health facilities.
