Faculty of Medicine
Establishment
NEU, Faculty of Medicine, is a newly established medical school. Its goal is to train doctors, who are both knowledgeable and competent, and also kind and passionate to their patients as well as committed to medical and ethical rules and to the ideals of serving humanity. The doctors we train will be aware of the latest scientific developments and technologies, and be able to use them in order to make sound diagnoses and carry out effective treatments. Education in this faculty is conducted in English.
Advances in contemporary medical treatment procedures do not restrict doctors in putting forward the necessary medical practice for those who are in need of medical treatment. In this respect, our training will focus on preventive medicine, and our graduates will serve as health educators for the society.
Doctors are expected to be keen researchers in addition to their roles in training and treatment. Our graduates will add to the already existing scientific literature on the causes, consequences and treatment of health problems, and their contributions will help to shape and maintain health policies.
Medicine is subject to an ever-increasing competition on both national and international levels as a result of rapid changes and scientific developments. Our vision as a medical school is to be a leading, innovative medical centre, internationally acknowledged for the highest standards of health education, scientific research and health care. Our laboratories and research centers built to meet the latest technological standards and our internationally renowned teaching staff, will ensure that our school will soon be the center of interest for medicine students and scholars from all over the world.
Vision
The faculty aims to ensure the training and practice of medical education and health services at the highest possible standards both in the country and internationally.
